the NULL terminating character). This function is the easiest way to convert a pointer to a NULL-terminated string into a Visual Basic string.
FileTime Functions
A number of API functions use 64-bit arithmetic to handle very large numeric variables such as dates, times, and sizes of files or disk drives. Visual Basic provides no support for 64-bit arithmetic, and it can be difficult to handle given that VB does not have an unsigned 32-bit data type. The following functions provide 64-bit arithmetic operations using structures that contain two 32-bit values. The FILETIME and LARGE_INTEGER structures are examples of structures that will work with these functions.
agAddFileTimes
Declare Sub agAddFileTimes Lib "apigid32.dll" (f1 As Any, f2 As Any, f3 As Any)
This function adds the contents of one FILETIME structure to another. It can also be used with LARGE_INTEGER and other 64-bit integer-based structures. The sum of f1 and f2 is loaded into f3.
agConvertDoubleToFileTime
Declare Sub agConvertDoubleToFileTime Lib "apigid32.dll" (ByVal d As Double, f1 _
As Any)
This function loads the contents of a FILETIME structure from a floating point value. It can also be used with LARGE_INTEGER and other 64-bit integer-based structures.
agConvertFileTimeToDouble
Declare Function agConvertFileTimeToDouble Lib "apigid32.dll" (f1 As Any) As Double
This function returns the contents of a FILETIME structure as a floating point value. It can also be used with LARGE_INTEGER and other 64-bit integer-based structures.
